Obituary for Damion Leroy Dean

DOTHAN. . .Damion Leroy Dean, a former resident of Headland and Dothan, died Monday, September 11, 2023. He was 33.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 18, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Willie Bonds and Evangelist Felecia Russell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.
“King Leroy” was born in Dothan and raised in Headland and Dothan. He attended Dothan High School. Leroy was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.W. “Ruck” Bonds and Lillie Rene Bonds and Ulysses and Lowdell Dean. He was an avid gun lover and was currently in trade school to become a Certified Welder. He was Spiritually grounded and loved to read the Bible.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Louise Bonds Dean and step-father, Larry Garlington, Sr., Dothan; his father, Scottie Lee Dean, Sr., Headland; a sister, Latoria Dean Anglin, Dothan; four brothers, Scotty Lee Dean, Jr. (Lodith), Columbia, SC; Jarvis Dean, Larry Garlington, Jr., and Brian Walton, all of Dothan; Nieces and nephews, Deneco Dean, Zakeya Anglin, Amiya Anglin, Scotty Lee Dean, III, Darien Anglin, Aalivia Garlington, Jacques Hill, Genesis Williams, Jarvis Dean, Jr., Javion Dean, Aanesia Garlington and Jarvis C. Dean; special sisters, Kenyatta Bonds, Natalie Bonds, Lydia Jackson, Shamika Bonds; a special aunt, Catherine Bonds, special cousins, James Bonds “AKA Honey Bun”, Christopher Russell and Lawrence Keener, Jr.; special friends, Lativia Byrd, Steven Kyles, Shuntae Jones, Vincent McMillan, Roy Williams, Sterling Barber, Big Sammy and Tank.
A special thanks to maternal and paternal aunts and uncles and Larry Holston for the loving care in helping to raise Leroy.
